Everything in the Product Development Department was planned to make Grendene one of the most creative companies in the world for the development of fashion footwear. Each product is analyzed in terms of potential results - not just design, which is an unconditional fact for a company that is so active in the largest markets with high - volume sales.
To create products with a Brazilian profile, the inspiration sources are the streets, the eight thousand kilometers of white sand coastline, the tropical culture, and the needs and desires of million of Brazilians. To create products with an international success, the inspiration sources are the world marketplace. Therefore the travel and the fashion research are unending. The 113 professionals that work in Product Development come from different backgrounds and create a multidisciplinary culture.
To have a team formed by people that are not specialists solely in footwear, broke several paradigms of the category. At Grendene shoe designers are architects, engineers, economists, business administrators and also fashion stylists that have their eyes and minds not only into the market of footwear, but in several other disciplines that contribute to the creativity of the consumer and therefore the success of Grendene.
