Grendene's first industrial unit was born in Farroupilha, in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, in 1971. What was a small countryside factory of plastic wine bottle covers, gradually turned out to be the headquarters of the largest footwear manufacturers of the Country, thanks to the bold vision and the determination of the founders: Alexandre and Pedro Grendene Bartelle.
To invest in the industrial park is not just a need, it is the pattern that Grendene found to be so many companies in a single one. With up-to-date technology, factories of first-world infrastructure following international standards of production, Grendene has full power to act in the adult, teen, child and baby shoes market.
